Some People Look At Everything

And See Nothing

"Only the one who senses that great truth is found in that which is simple will be able to see beneath the surface of appearances. People always seek that which is complicated, believing there is an equivalence between complexity and truth. If we meditate deeply, we will find it is more difficult to notice the simple than the complex. That which is simple appears so unattractive that no one bothers to study it or make an effort to delve beneath it's surface. Nevertheless, Truth is in that which is simple, and for this reason it is said that "Truth is written in the open book of nature." Truth is strewn everywhere and no one notices it. It is more difficult to "know what is already known" Than to learn about something of which one is ignorant."

Relationships with others and how one is perceived 

tops countless lists of ‘priorities’

Intertwined with the constant sought after

 spotlight and desire for attention.  

The world 

becomes 

a blur.  

What has a greater impact: 

What other people tell us?
 Or all that is visible 

in our daily interactions? 

Life is understood through perception(s).

Yet, people look for clarity through the words of others.

Words of repetition

Words of likeliness

 Words that provide 

The same mundane view.  

Truth is before you,

 Yet, so many 
Look for it to spill from another’s mouth.

Putting more emphasis and importance 

on that which is heard than seen: 

Looking at everything, seeing nothing.  

Believing what is vocalized is reality

When it is a mere 

distortion

distraction 

and misrepresentation 

of the truth.

... Sometimes,

The Best Way To See A Person 

Is Not Look At Them

When You Looking At Them

They Gonna Be On Their Best Behavior ...

Proper sight 

reveals more than words 

spoken.

A person's tone of voice and body movements 

is the unspoken language 

of who they are. 

More times than not 

it is unnecessary to rehash experiences, or attempt to solidify 

blanket generalizations.


Sit and observe
banish complexities

and let simplicity guide you.......

Does a smile curve from one’s mouth up into the eyes with happiness? 

Or are they cut in a sideways glance of concealed hatred...

Are there encouraging words for those who're achieving personal goals and aspirations?
Or bashing because many don't have any of their own...

Is there a coincidental likeliness in appearance, stature, and livelihoods?
Or a reflection of not knowing who or what to be without imitation...

Is there respect for individuality and differences?
Or  the need to be at the center of attention even at the cost of belittling others...

Is their sincere support towards someone else's family and relationships?
Or misguided jealousy because another has what's desired for self...

Is their positivity when referencing another in their absence ?
Or gossiping mud slinging...

Is there enjoyment in your inner circle?
Or using one another to kill time...

Are words spoken beneficial and uplifting?
Or detrimentally dragging others down to the pits of misery...

The truth of unhappiness

 and ill will is visible 

in various forms.

 There are those 

who don’t enjoy their own company,

 having issues within themselves.

 In the presence of their opposite

togetherness is feigned
 for the sake of deflecting 

what they want others to 

blindly ignore.

Throughout the world

all of our observations 

are varied.

Learning to overstand

proper sight reveals more than spoken words

is a lifelong lesson.

Witnessing 

separately

 what is written 

in the open book of 

nature.

As a man or woman
discernment

should be more readily applauded, 
before it is viewed as 

"something wrong".

There shouldn't be any qualms 

with avoiding disingenuousness

 enjoying your own company 

or that of 

a 

select 

few.
